Status Report

All of the painting has been completed...at least all of the painting that I care to do right now. Finishing touches were applied to (s)Mother's room yesterday & it looks pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Additionally, Zee Katie came over (whatever you do, DON'T TELL KELLY THAT KATIE WAS HERE!!!)  & helped with the pain-in-the-ass doorframes. Mind you, the doorframes wouldn't have been such a pain in the ass if it weren't for The Paint From Hell. (Special Note to manufacturers of The Paint From Hell: please die !)  After the painting was done, we sat around a great deal, watched weird teevee & Katie let me wax nostalgically about The AppleHead, The Old Man & The PepperPot. Also received a phonecall from my girlie, Melanie, who was traipsing all over the capital despite the heat. AND, my favorite next-door neighbors Betty & Rose stopped over to present me with a new watering can as a gift.

I am now trying to schedule today's events. The furniture definitely needs to get moved back into the (s)Mother's room so the cats can stop glaring at me & St. Therese can resume her position watching over everything. I want to go see my parents & ask what they think of their room & such. Zee Katie thought Italian subs from Ventimiglia's may be in order today. It may also be time for my annual banana split, but I don't know for sure.

The only other thing I do know is that today is NOT my birthday. Dear internet, please disregard any nasty rumors you may hear to the contrary. I believe it may be a plot by either Republicans or terrorists but don't fall for it. Today is not my birthday. I am not getting older.
